LIFEBUOY RING LIGHT
A lifebuoy ring light (also known as a self-igniting light or Man Overboard/MOB light) is a critical marine safety device attached to a lifebuoy ring. It is engineered to automatically activate upon contact with water or when flipped upright during deployment, providing 360-degree omnidirectional strobe illumination so rescuers can locate a person in distress at night or during poor weather conditions.
According to SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) requirements, these lights must emit a continuous or flashing white light of at least 2 candelas for a minimum duration of 2 hours.
